Kraftliner is a cardboard consisting of not less than 80% of cellulose fibers. The remaining 20% ​​is any mixture of primary fibers (cellulose of different methods of cooking, hemicellulose, wood pulp, waste paper, straw, cane, flax, hemp, etc.). Those. The composition of the cardboard is multicomponent, however, to be called a kraft liner, the percentage of secondary fibers in it must be minimal. In international practice, a kraft liner, 100% consisting of kraft pulp (obtained by the sulphate method), is also called a top liner. Kraft liner is a multilayer material. The number of layers varies from two to eight, depending on the capabilities of the cardboard machine. Most often produce a two-layer Kraft liner – the base brown layer consists of recycled fiber, and the outer layer, mainly from long-fibrous primary fibers. Kraft liner, as a rule, is used for the production of products and containers with increased requirements for mechanical parameters.
